We can offer individual or group First Aid training for anyone seeking to gain a qualification or simply improve their knowledge.
Training is held on our campus in Worcester (near Junction 7 of the M5) and also have the option to deliver at your own organisation if you have a suitable venue.
12 max per course, aged 14 years plus.
£125 per person including refreshments if at NCW but discounts are available for group bookings or if the training is hosted in situ.
Certificate for all who pass the course.

One Day Training Course
Where a workplace first aid risk assessment identifies a need for an Emergency First Aider in the Workplace, this one-day qualification meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.
- The learner will attain knowledge to deal with a range of workplace first aid situations.
- Meets employer’s legal obligations
- Compliant with Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines
- 3 year qualification
Delegates will learn:
- Responsibilities and reporting
- Resuscitation and AED awareness
- Burns
- Assessment of the situation
- Anatomy
- Choking
- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
- Minor injuries
- Epilepsy
- Basic hygiene in First Aid
- Bleeding control
- Shock
- Certification
- Practical assessment is ongoing by the instructor, and a three year qualification will be issued to those who satisfy the criteria.
- A student cannot assume a responsibility in the workplace until they reach the age of 16, and then it is the employer’s responsibility to ensure
- that the student is suitable for that role.
- The certificate will expire as dated on the certificate, irrespective of age.

Paul is the Assistant Principal responsible for Personal Development at NCW. Paul spent 15 years working in a local further education college with a focus on student development and loves sharing his knowledge of First Aid and Mental Health First Aid.
