Preparing for GCSE and A Level Exams

Our free course ‘Preparing for GCSE and A Level Exams’ is for learners who have a vision impairment.

Due to COVID-19, there have now been two summers without external exams. Many of our learners with a vision impairment have missed the experience of working under exam conditions, and therefore we are running a one day event for young people between the ages of 13 and 17 to prepare them for next year.

The course will be delivered by members of our teaching staff, as well as our exams officer.

Programme:

10 am -1pm:

– Sitting an exam as a candidate with a VI.
– Using a scribe, reader or practical assistant.
– Working with tactile materials.

2-3 pm:

– Revision strategies.

Break time refreshments will be provided (please bring your lunch).

A tour will be available for parents in the morning or, with learners, over the lunch-time break.
