This week, we have been honoured to welcome the High Sheriff of Worcestershire, Charles Moyle for an inspiring and insightful visit to NCW. The High Sheriff met with Principal Rachel Perks and Chair of Governors Pat Dyson, gaining a first-hand understanding of the exceptional work happening at our college.
During the visit, the High Sheriff had the opportunity to tour the campus, engaging with students and staff and witnessing the vibrant atmosphere that makes NCW such a unique and inclusive educational environment. The High Sheriff was particularly impressed by a musical performance from students, showcasing the creative talents and dedication of NCW’s student body.
In addition to touring the campus and interacting with students, the High Sheriff met with Rachel Willetts, Chief Operating Officer of Dolphin Tech, to hear about the valuable work experience placements offered to the college. These placements provide students with the opportunity to gain real-world experience in a supportive environment, helping to prepare them for future success in their chosen careers.
“We were delighted to host the High Sheriff of Worcestershire today and showcase the exceptional achievements and experiences that our students have access to here at NCW,” said Principal Rachel Perks. “The High Sheriff’s visit underscores the importance of collaboration between educational institutions and the local community in helping to create meaningful opportunities for our students.”
Chair of Governors, Pat Dyson, added, “It was a privilege to share with the High Sheriff the diverse range of learning experiences that make New College Worcester a thriving and supportive community. We are proud of the positive impact we have on our students’ development and are grateful for the ongoing support of our partners.”
The visit is a testament to our ongoing commitment to foster student growth, provide career opportunities and engage with the local community and partners.
