Meet Sixth Form student Thomas in his latest place of work at Waitrose in Worcester! Thomas will be doing a work experience placement in Waitrose this year to gain experience in the workplace, new skills, independence and a taste of life after NCW.

Thomas said, “I am enjoying it! I have only done two shifts and already I am eager to get more shifts. It is such a positive experience and I am loving being in the workplace, meeting new people and working with colleagues. At the moment I am on the checkouts and in time, I will be working on different areas around the store such as the café, customer service and stock replenishment. The customers have been kind and patient and some of them are very chatty. My biggest fear was breaking something like eggs or a cake, but so far I have been lucky and haven’t broken anything!”
