Strange Futures production – The Tree Rings

Written by Sixth Form student, Samih.

Over the last three months NCW have had the honour and privilege of working with the emerging theatre company Strange Futures to create their production – The Tree Rings.

The show involved puppetry, poetry, animation, live music and narration.

It all started as an idea questioning what trees would say if they could talk to humans. The rings were used to represent the age of the trees, therefore what they would say based on the observations they’ve made of humans as we’ve developed.

All of us studying Drama at A Level went to see the finished show on Monday 6 February at University of Worcester and were blown away by the innovation!

The show was an incredible masterpiece and it was enjoyed by all! Mrs Fisher Audio Described the event using NCW’s new ‘tour guide’ system which added a whole new dimension to the theatrical experience!
