Bonterre is a specialist educational provision on a 15 acre farm just outside of Worcester.
With a team of Youth Workers, qualified Teachers, a Clinical Psychologist and a Horticultural Team, Bonterre provides a unique and expertly delivered experience to help children with Autism, ADHD and other issues affecting school engagement. They centre their educational services around ‘Care Farming’ – using the land as a medium to stimulate and engage.
Learning Support Assistants Kylie, Maggie and Felix have been taking students Corey, Toby and DJ to Bonterre every Wednesday since half term! As Winter descends, the layers have increased, but the zeal for offering our fabulous three this wonderful opportunity has not.
Activities that have been enjoyed range from making planters using carpentry skills, animal care, planting seeds, transplanting seedlings, mowing the field and planning the sensory garden as well as eating lots of cake!
Many of our staff go the extra mile. Thank you to Kylie, Maggie and Felix for supporting and creating a unique learning experience for these students. We are hoping to continue working with Bonterre in the future.
