Last weekend (Friday 28 June to Sunday 30 June), the Great Britain under 23 Men’s Goalball Team flew to Finland to compete at the European Para Youth Games (EPYG)!

Amongst the six selected athletes was our very own Year 12 student Stuart, as well as former NCW student Naqib.

As their first major tournament, the squad faced some tough competition playing against Germany, Italy, Hungary, Portugal, Romania and the Czech Republic!

After 2 days and 6 games of Goalball, the GB team made it to the semi-finals on Sunday. Their fight,

determination and hard work earned them the Bronze award, which is a fantastic achievement for their first major tournament.
