NCW receives a welcome donation from Worcester City Council

We are delighted to receive a £500 donation from the Worcester City Council Ward COVID Community Recovery Grant to help support the education of our students.

Councillor Tom Piotrowski, a keen Supporter of the College, kindly nominated NCW as a beneficiary of the grant due to our fundraising efforts being affected by COVID.

Councillor Tom Piotrowski said, “COVID had a massive effect on charities and their ability to fundraise. By making this small contribution from my ward allocation of the City Council’s COVID Recovery Fund, I want to make sure New College Worcester can support their students in learning and acquiring new skills.”

Early in the month, Tom visited NCW to present the cheque for £500 and to meet staff and students including Mrs Madden – SLT for Student Progress. Having previously worked together on joint online projects during COVID, Mrs Madden was delighted to meet Tom in person.

Many thanks to Councillor Piotrowski for his continued support of NCW. This donation will help ensure that we can provide our students with the facilities, opportunities and experiences they deserve.
