NCW and Worcester City Women FC are delighted to announce a new partnership.
The new venture will see the two organisations work closely together to raise important funds for NCW whilst providing vision impaired students with more ways to engage with football, alongside a fantastic fan experience on Worcester City Women’s match days at Claines Lane.
In addition to training at Claines Lane, Worcester City Women players and staff benefit from fantastic, private facilities, such as a multigym, swimming pool and grass training space all located on site at NCW. This will help give Worcester City Women a competitive edge for the new 21-22 season as well as being able to run events encouraging girls’ participation in football.
Speaking of the new partnership, NCW Head of Fundraising Kevin Hateley said: “We are delighted to be teaming up with Worcester City Women. It’s a great opportunity to raise the profile of women’s football with our students and hopefully raise some funds for the vision impaired youngsters we support here at NCW”.
Executive Director of Worcester City Women, Nicole Allison said: “We’re extremely pleased to join forces with NCW because we are committed to engaging with our community and ensuring football is for all. Working together we can help raise awareness of the incredible work NCW does for blind and vision impaired students and to be part of these students’ development is something we are all very passionate about. Football is a fantastic vehicle for education and we’re delighted to be able to provide opportunities for the students to develop key skills through football and for our players and staff to engage with them.
The facilities on campus are fantastic and will enable us to support our players even more in their development, which is a key focus at the club.
The FA’s latest women’s football strategy is focused around inspiring positive change, and this partnership with New College Worcester is a fantastic way for us to ensure we are playing our part in inspiring that change.”
