Welcome to NCW
NCW is a national residential school and college for children and young people aged 11 to 19 who are blind or vision impaired.
Every student at NCW has a tailored programme, carefully planned and delivered to meet need according to their own EHCP in three key areas; academic achievement, independent living skills and involvement in extracurricular activities at the College and in the community.
The opportunities provided to students in these three areas of provision play a crucial role in the development of confidence and self-esteem and preparation for life beyond our College.
If you are a parent or carer of a current student you will find a whole library of information for you on our secure parent portal, including application forms, curriculum maps, uniform requirements, links to progress dashboards, event booking, the school diary and more!
Please also time some time to consider showing your support to our open letter to Bridget Phillipson and Liz Kendall calling on them to invest some of the Get Britain Working funding in special schools like NCW, to enable VI students of today to play a full and active role in the workplace of the future.
