The extensive experience and expertise of staff at NCW underpins our Outreach programme which provides a wide range of advice and support to those working with or supporting young people who are blind or visually impaired.
This includes teachers and teaching assistants who support visually impaired students in educational settings across the country, support agencies and parents and families. This can include on-site training for staff, detailed reviews and reports, teaching services or a package of support for an individual student.
Training and Resources
The College also offers free or very low cost events to professionals to give them the opportunity to meet subject teachers at NCW, get hands-on experience of specialist equipment and get practical support and advice on specific curriculum areas of their choice.
